Our Story
Quantum’s Founder, Chris Fryer spent the first half of his career in challenging corporate recruiting roles for prominent organizations such as Cargill and North Memorial Health Care and then as a VP for Fortune 500 companies including US Bancorp/Piper Jaffray and Ameriprise Financial. The second half of his professional life has consisted of partner-level executive search roles for two Top-Ten global executive search firms.
Recently, Chris launched Quantum with the objective of making it a very different client experience. Unlike many senior partners at other retained search firms, he not only sells searches but executes on the process and fully owns the outcomes. Chris is a subject matter expert for his clients. There is no hand-off to a less experienced junior associate. This high-touch approach has resulted in a multitude of successful searches and excellent client satisfaction ratings.
Quantum assists clients with a variety of senior leadership talent needs without the candidate blockage restrictions that handicap many larger firms. This allows us to approach the broadest possible pool of potential candidates for any given search.

No matter how resourceful or effective, most large executive search firms are restricted in their search efforts due to wide-spread candidate off-limits. Due to Quantum’s independent business model we do not face many of those off limits roadblocks that can and do inhibit a full executive search.

Managing Partner
Chris Fryer is the Owner and Managing Partner of Quantum. He brings over 30+ plus years of executive search and recruiting experience to his clients in Industrial, Manufacturing, Agriculture, Financial Services, Private Equity and Health Care industries. He brings many attributes to Quantum including dedication and discipline, his amicable nature and a passion for quality results. Prior to his external search firm experience, Chris was an in-house Vice President of Executive Search for two Fortune 500 companies. Being on the “inside” has helped him immensely in understanding and navigating what clients really need to attract the best leadership talent.
Chris has executed many searches from C-level down in a number of general management and functional disciplines including – Board, CEO, CFO, COO, Chief Marketing Officer, Chief Growth Officer, Chief Strategy Officer, General Counsel, SVP-Global Operations/Supply Chain and other key leadership roles. He has been recognized formally on several occasions for receiving high client satisfaction feedback.

Lori Weeks
Lori Weeks is the Research Partner for Quantum. She has 20+ years experience in the executive search industry, and possesses a breadth of expertise across the financial services, industrial, power and utilities, oil and gas, consumer retail, healthcare and life sciences and legal sectors and also has research acumen with board searches, diversity initiatives and the not-for-profit sector.
She was previously the Head of Research at Odgers Berndtson, U.S. At Odgers, she led the U.S. Research team and was responsible for all aspects of research, knowledge management and analytics for the U.S., across all industry sectors and functions. Prior to Odgers, Lori held research leadership roles for both boutique and global executive search firms, including The Alexander Group and Korn/Ferry International. Prior to executive search, Lori began her research career in the legal industry as a Paralegal. Lori holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Houston and a Masters in Business Administration from Marylhurst University.
